Short Film

Written and directed by Shaun Forsdyke, Crash is inspired by his real-life experiences of hypoglycaemia, a state of intense low blood sugar in diabetics. The story follows main character Charlie through stages of increasing delirium, experiencing disjointed visions.

Various cinematic techniques are deployed throughout to intensify and signpost hypoglycaemic symptoms. Crash was nominated for three awards at the 2024 Oxford Shorts International Film Festival: best experimental film, best sound and best cinematography. Crash successfully took best cinematography.
